Day 194, Ephesians 3

Ephesians 3

We humans are limited in our understanding (even if you’ve been reading the New Testament with us throughout this year)!

This chapter stretches the understanding with Paul’s summary of the divine mystery - to the point where many Romans thought Paul was crazy! But he’s not mad, he’s the recipient of a revelation of the mystery of God’s plan to demonstrate love to the whole universe (including spiritual beings, both good and evil) through the redemption of humanity in Jesus. It’s mind-boggling, and supremely worthwhile, to grasp this. Why not read the first half of the chapter a couple more times, to let it sink more deeply into your spirit?

In light of this immense revelation of love, Paul turns again to prayer in the second part of the chapter, asking for each of us to receive a greater revelation of this superlative truth. Praise rises from those who have this revelation, and that praise grows as the revelation spreads. One day all creation will see and worship.

Have a great day!

Mark.
